Project Harmony is the LGBTQIA+ initiative of the HEAT Program dedicated to connecting LGBTQIA+ youth of color to resources, health care, hormone therapy, transitioning services, HIV prevention medication (PrEP), HIV care, and more. As part of a fully integrated health center, Project Harmony works collaboratively with allies from the community and clinical staff to create healthy and safe environments for LGBTQIA+ people of color. Project Harmony supports young people in Brooklyn as they explore their gender identity and expression, balancing health with community.
Project Harmony’s mission is to balance health with community and address mental health among LGBTQ+ Youth of Color ages 13 to 29 in Brooklyn. We aim to create a brave space where Queer and Trans Youth are free to be authentic and connect with people with similar lives experiences. Project Harmony uplifts the health and well-being of our community through advocacy and access to comprehensive gender-affirming care and mental health resources.
At Project Harmony, our philosophy is rooted in respect, equity, and advocacy.
